The
name, Willing Captive, comes from Exodus 21:5. In God's law, all
servants were to be set free in the seventh year. But if a servant
loved his master and did not want to go free, his ear would be pierced,
and he would become a bond-servant - a willing captive for life.
Willing Captive is, in many ways, a family affair. Allow us
to introduce ourselves.
- Mark Stenson is worship leader at Lamb of God in
Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
- Matt is Mark's youngest son. He plays various
hand drums and electronic drums (Yamaha DD-55) on these
recordings. He plays a Martin DMXE and keyboard
also. He has done the recording and mixing for the CD's. See
his band info at myspace.com/rootofunity
- Julie Blosser is Mark's oldest child. She has
written some of the songs.
- John,
Mark's other son, has also written some of the songs presented
here. John and his wife, Rebeca, are missionaries working
with Youth With A Mission.
- Becky, Mark's wife, is a wonderful encouragement and
support.

current that the Lord is doing in my life. But Willing
Captive is not primarily about us. It is about Jesus, the One
who willingly laid down His life for us.
